TOMORROW X TOGETHER, better known as TXT, are continuing their rapid rise in Japan, scoring a major milestone with their latest Japanese single, “Setsuna Hanabi.”
The group’s fifth Japanese single has officially surpassed 250,000 units in cumulative shipments, earning a Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ).
The certification is awarded to albums and singles that reach at least 250,000 units in cumulative shipments, making the achievement another significant milestone in TXT’s growing presence in the Japanese music market.
But the physical sales success is only part of the story.
The single’s title track, “Setsuna Hanabi,” also made history for TXT by reaching No. 1 on Oricon’s weekly digital single chart—the first time the group has topped the ranking.
The track also claimed the top spot on Billboard Japan’s Hot 100, while ranking highly across several other major Japanese music charts, including the Hot Shot Songs and Download Songs charts.
The achievement adds to what has already been a strong year for TXT.
Earlier in April, the group’s eighth Korean mini album, “7TH YEAR: A Moment When the Wind Stopped,” also received a Platinum certification in Japan.
Having both a Korean album and a Japan-exclusive single surpass 250,000 shipments in the same year highlights the strength of TXT’s fanbase across different markets and release formats.
The group now has an impressive collection of RIAJ certifications. Their Japanese releases include “CHIKAI,” which reached Triple Platinum status, as well as “Starkissed,” “SWEET,” and “GOOD BOY GONE BAD,” which have achieved Double Platinum certifications.
With “Setsuna Hanabi” and several other releases now added to the Platinum list, TXT have accumulated a total of 17 albums and singles certified by the RIAJ Gold Disc Awards.
The latest achievement further establishes TXT as one of K-pop’s strongest acts in Japan, proving that their popularity extends well beyond the Korean market.
