Sana Reveals the Most Memorable Moment of Her TWICE Career: “It Was MISAMO”
TWICE’s Sana has opened up about one of the most memorable experiences of her career, naming her debut with the Japanese sub-unit MISAMO as a particularly meaningful milestone.
Sana recently graced the cover of the October issue of Arena Homme Plus, featuring a stylish pictorial with luxury fashion brand Prada. In the photoshoot, the TWICE star showcased a range of sophisticated looks, highlighting both her elegance and charismatic presence.
During the accompanying interview, Sana reflected on the various challenges she has taken on throughout her career. When asked about the experience that left the strongest impression on her, she pointed to MISAMO, the unit she formed with fellow TWICE members Mina and Momo.
“Making my debut as a unit was a first for us with MISAMO, so I was very curious about how the public would react,” Sana said.
She also expressed her gratitude toward TWICE’s fans, ONCE, for their support.
“Thanks to ONCE, we were able to perform on big stages and successfully complete our activities,” she recalled.
According to Sana, fans embraced a different side of the members through MISAMO, allowing the unit to establish an identity distinct from TWICE.
“Fans really enjoyed seeing that side of us and viewed us as having a different color from TWICE. I had a lot of fun promoting as MISAMO,” she said.
Sana also credited her TWICE members as the biggest source of motivation that has allowed her to continue performing at the highest level for so many years.
“The members are a huge source of strength for me,” she explained.
She noted that when the group is working together, the members often experience similar levels of exhaustion. Seeing her teammates continue to work hard despite being tired gives her the motivation to keep going as well.
“When I see everyone working hard and doing such a great job, I naturally think, ‘I should work hard too,’” Sana said. “I often find strength by looking at the people around me.”
After years at the top of the K-pop industry, Sana’s words highlight the strong bond between the members of TWICE—and how that friendship continues to inspire her both on and off stage.
