BTS Jungkook’s ‘GOLDEN’ Sets New Spotify Record with 149 Weeks on Global Chart
BTS member Jungkook continues to make history with his debut solo album GOLDEN, setting another major Spotify milestone.
According to Spotify’s weekly Global Top Albums chart, GOLDEN has remained on the chart for 149 weeks, marking the longest-running appearance by an Asian solo artist album in the chart’s history.
For the September 4–10 tracking period, GOLDEN ranked No. 172 on the global chart. The album generated approximately 19.39 million streams during the seven-day period, pushing its total Spotify streams beyond 7.45 billion.
Three Tracks Surpass 1.2 Billion Streams
Jungkook’s GOLDEN has also achieved another notable milestone on Spotify.
The album is reported to be the first album by an Asian artist to feature three individual tracks with more than 1.2 billion Spotify streams.
The three tracks are “Seven” featuring Latto, “Standing Next to You,” and “3D”.
Released in November 2023, GOLDEN has continued to demonstrate remarkable longevity nearly three years after its debut, with its individual tracks maintaining strong streaming numbers worldwide.
Jungkook Continues to Break Streaming Records
The album’s achievements extend beyond Spotify.
On YouTube Music, GOLDEN recently became the first album by a K-pop solo artist to have three tracks surpass 500 million streams.
Jungkook has also reached another major milestone through his personal Spotify account. Counting all credited tracks, the BTS star has surpassed 11.49 billion total Spotify streams, reportedly making him the fastest Asian artist and the first K-pop soloist to reach the milestone.
With GOLDEN continuing to accumulate streams and remain on global charts week after week, Jungkook is further cementing his position as one of the most successful K-pop solo artists on global streaming platforms.
