BTS Wraps Up North American Tour After Drawing 1.92 Million Fans

BTS has successfully completed the North American leg of its ‘ARIRANG’ World Tour, attracting approximately 1.92 million fans across 12 cities.

According to BigHit Music on September 8, BTS concluded its North American schedule with four concerts at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, held on September 1–2 and 5–6 local time.

The group performed a total of 31 shows from Tampa to Los Angeles, and every concert sold out, highlighting BTS’ continued popularity across North America.

BTS Sets New SoFi Stadium Records

The Los Angeles concerts drew approximately 282,000 fans in total.

With the latest performances, BTS became the group with the most shows ever held at SoFi Stadium, reaching eight performances overall. The group has now attracted approximately 496,000 concertgoers at the venue, setting another record for cumulative attendance by a group.

The final LA concert was also streamed live through Weverse to 177 countries and regions, allowing fans around the world to watch the performance.

One of the most memorable moments came when fans raised South Korean flags together during “Body to Body,” a track from BTS’ fifth full-length album that incorporates the melody of the traditional Korean folk song “Arirang.”

BTS’ Influence Extends Beyond the Concert Venue

BTS’ impact was also highlighted by major U.S. media outlets.

The Los Angeles Times described BTS as a “world-class pop act” and praised the group’s unparalleled cultural influence.

Forbes also focused on how the excitement surrounding BTS spread throughout Los Angeles, beyond the concert venue itself.

Fans from different cultural backgrounds were seen singing along to “Arirang” and embracing Korean cultural elements such as hanbok, traditional Korean fans and norigae ornaments.

Local businesses, restaurants and stores, particularly in Koreatown, also participated in various promotions surrounding the concerts, demonstrating the broader economic and cultural impact of BTS in the city.

Los Angeles Declares ‘BTS Week’

Los Angeles also gave BTS a special welcome.

The city officially declared September 1–8 as “BTS Week.” A proclamation ceremony was held at Los Angeles City Hall on August 31, attended by representatives from the city council, the Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board and BigHit Music.

On September 1, Los Angeles City Hall was illuminated in red, the key color associated with BTS’ latest album, “ARIRANG.”

Other cities and regions across North America, including Toronto, Illinois and El Paso, Texas, also designated commemorative days in honor of BTS.

After completing their North American tour, BTS expressed their hope that fans would “stay connected wherever they are.”

The group will now continue the ARIRANG World Tour in South America, beginning with a concert in Bogotá, Colombia, on October 2, followed by performances in Peru, Chile, Argentina and Brazil.
